John Keith McGarrity, who is a former insurance officer in both Bermuda and the Bahamas, was arrested on May 31 in Houston, Texas after entering the United States on a fake passport, according to a US regulatory source.

A bond hearing was held on Friday, June 1 and we do not yet know whether he was released or remanded in custody.
