Nick Kochan is a leading investigative journalist and writer in the UK. He is the author of "The Washing Machine", a book on money laundering and terrorist finance, and books on fraud and corruption.


Kochan writes for UK publications including The Guardian, and appears on news media including Sky News and the BBC. His work on the 1MDB scandal has appeared in Asia Times while his work on Bulgarian organised crime  has appeared in Euractiv. He contributes regularly to Thomson Reuters regulatory intelligence website.

The incredible story of dishonest English attorney Stephen David Jones, the senior partner of Jirehouse law firm who was sentenced to 12 years in prison at London's Southwark Crown Court last year when an American billionaire client he swindled out of £13 million brought a private prosecution after the Police and Crown Prosecution Service inexplicably failed to act.

The session will be presented by Steven Kay KC, a criminal lawyer who led the private prosecution, and Nick Kochan, an English investigative journalist and author who has written about the case.
