‘Son of Boss’ tax evaders pay $3.2 b to IRS

The IRS has collected more than $3.2 billion in taxes, interest and penalties from 1,165 taxpayers participating in a settlement concerning an abusive tax shelter scheme known as “Son of Boss”, the agency announced today.
The typical taxpayer payment was almost $1 million, with 18 taxpayers paying more than $20 million each and one paying over $100 million, stated the IRS.
