Raydon Underwriting Management Company

The former owners of the Clarendon Insurance Group have taken legal action to force Travelers Indemnity and Executive Risk Specialty Insurance to satisfy $25 m of a $92 m judgment in Bermuda arising from a fraud committed by the now-defunct, Goldman Sachs-controlled Stirling Cooke group.

Complaint in Robert D. Ferguson, Kansa International Corporation, Ltd., bankruptcy estate, of Finland; Milo Family Limited Partnership, domiciled in Delaware, based in New York; Imipolex LLC, domiciled and based in Florida, as successor in interest to CJH Investments LP, of Nevada; Omphalos LLC, domiciled in Delaware, based in Florida, all as judgment creditors of Raydon Underwriting Management Company Limited, of Bermuda, v. Travelers Indemnity Company and Executive Risk Specialty Insurance Company at the U. S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Reinsurer North American Fidelity & Guarantee is being sued for almost $4 million in Bermuda, where it operated for only about a year before moving to Belgium last October.A lawsuit has been filed against the company by Bermuda-based Raydon Underwriting Management Company, which operated from the same building in Hamilton.
