XL Insurance (Bermuda) Ltd. and other companies with Bermuda connections are being sued for $32.4 million in the United States regarding the alleged non-payment of a business interruption claim.
The complaint was filed at the District Court of Harris County, Texas, 113th Judicial District on December 5, 2005 and transferred to the U. S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas on April 7, 2006 following an application by XL.
